Scotchgard carpet protector

3M Scotchgard protector is the most well-known and respected names in carpet and fabric protection. Scotchgard does not contain perfluorooctanyl chemical (PFOS) compounds like some other brands of fabric protectors do. Other fabric protectors can be highly toxic and are not safe on all fabric types.

Green-Seal-Certified-Carpet-Cleaning

Our all natural cleaning chemicals have been awarded the Green Seal Approval. Our line of "green" chemicals are safe for you, your children, your pets, and our environment.

Planet-Guard Planet-Guard-Gree-Chemicals

Our Planet Guard "Green" carpet and upholstery cleaning chemicals are comprised of 100% organic chemistry. In fact, these chemicals meet the USA food grade standard which means that they would be safe to eat (but we'd never recommend that).

FAQ About Grossbusters Carpet Cleaning

Now that my carpet, rugs, and upholstery are clean, how long will they take to dry?

    Carpet

      2-5 Hours

The dry time of carpet varies depending on the type of fiber. Areas where we have treated severe stains with our Water Claw will take longer to dry. To accelerate dry times, we recommend setting your home's thermostat at around 75 degrees prior to our arrival. The warmer you keep your home, the faster your carpet will dry. Also, turning on any ceiling fans can help immensely. Be sure to leave a few windows cracked to allow a pathway for the moisture to escape. See our 7 step carpet cleaning process.

    Upholstery and Mattresses

      30 Minutes - 2 Hours

The dry time of upholstery is usually faster than carpet. The fabric on upholstery is thin and fully exposed thus allowing moisture to evaporate quickly. We also use a unique upholstery cleaning tool which helps to prevent overwetting, which can cause a host of other problems. This specialized tool also helps to minimize overspray onto other valuables in your home.

There are many different types of mattresses available. The dry times vary between them. For instance, a pillow top mattress will take longer to dry that a traditional flat-surfaced, spring mattress.

    Rugs

      30 Minutes - 5 Hours

You may be wondering why there is such a large gap between the minimum and maximum drying times that we usually see with rugs. There are so many different types of rugs with different fabric types, pile lengths, and backing types. Rugs that are very thin and have no backing may only take around half an hour to dry while a thick rug with long pile and a thick backing may take several hours to dry. If you have a rug that you need cleaned and want a better idea of how long it will take to dry, give us a call at our local Olympia number, (360) 200-8825. We will be able to give you a pretty good idea of how long it will take to dry just by asking you a few questions.

Why did my carpet or upholstery resoil so quickly following my last cleaning with another company?

This is due to the amount of chemical residue left in your carpet and upholstery fibers. This causes a sticky layer that dirt and other unwanted debris attaches itself to. At Grossbusters, we use high quality cleaning chemicals which are easily flushed out of fabrics. We use high powered machines that do not leave residue in your carpet or upholstery. Our machines have very high water flow and vacuum suction, which effectively flush all chemicals out leaving the fibers clean and soft.

How often should I get my carpet, area rugs, and upholstery steam cleaned?

What do I need to do to prepare my carpets before cleaning?

Please clear the area you would like cleaned. Please pick up any toys, books, small furniture, and other items that may be in the way or may get damaged during the cleaning process. We do not move any large furniture for liability reasons. If you need help moving small furniture, we may be able to assist you. If you feel inclined to vacuum, it makes our job easier and faster. However, we are fully prepared to vacuum before each job. We use a Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner which features dual HEPA filters and cyclone technology for maximum dirt, dust and allergen removal. The goal is to remove as much soil from the carpet as possible prior to steam cleaning.

Do you offer stain protector for my carpets and upholstery?

We offer 3M Scotchgard™ as an additional service. Scotchgard will form an invisible barrier on top of your carpet and upholstery fibers. This barrier helps to extend the life of your carpet and upholstery and will help to keep spots from bonding with the carpet fibers, defending from permanent stains. The initial cost of carpet protector may end up saving you money on professional stain removal in the future. Scotchgard is non toxic and is safe for use on both natural and synthetic carpet and upholstery.

Do you offer environmentally friendly, green carpet cleaning? Are your chemicals safe for my family?

YES and YES! We have a full line of Green Seal Certified chemicals for people with chemical sensitivities. These chemicals are highly effective yet are comprised entirely of organic materials (100% organic chemistry). While our chemicals are safe to be around, its never a good idea to over expose oneself to any chemical.

Some people refer to "dry carpet cleaning" as "green carpet cleaning." While dry carpet cleaning is generally non-toxic, steam cleaning can also be considered "green" if the right chemicals are used. We offer both steam cleaning as well a method of dry carpet cleaning, called encapsulation cleaning. We provide both types of cleaning to residents and businesses in the greater Olympia area.
